“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

New Life Calvary Chapel Missions

Foreign and Domestic

We at New Life Calvary Chapel seek to advance our Core Value #7:

"Every person participates in reaching the nations for Christ by praying, giving, and going." (Acts 1:8)

New Life faithfully supports 8 mission ministries serving in USA and internationally. Please note these missionaries in the Table below. Financial support for missions is provided by New Life's annual budget through a commitment of

1/10th (a "tithe") of all offerings received. Missionary updates are posted in the sanctuary, or individuals can be follow updates online, and the New Life community offers prayer support for specific mission ministry concerns. At worship on the 3rd Sunday of the month the Missions Team provides an update on the missionaries supported and mission service opportunities.

Those from the New Life community are encouraged to personally serve in missions locally, nationally and internationally.

Recent years this has included 3 youth serving in Mexico and 2 adults serving in The Philippines.

PIONEER MARKET RECIEPTS

For over a decade we have been so blessed to be able to give to missions through so many who have turned in our local Pioneer Market receipts. We receive 1% from the amounts spent! So please keep your receipts and turn them into our Connection Center! Every penny helps.

INTERNATIONAL EVANGELISM OUTREACH (I.E.O.)

Bishop Eliudi is one of our longest partnering missionaries that we have supported and get the privilege of having him as a part of our family since 1990. He is the founder and leader of IEO in Tanzania. He originally connected with New Life Christian Fellowship in 1990! He is the founder and leader of IEO in Tanzania. He has had a heart for training and equipping others to minister God's grace. God has grown this vision exponentially from its beginnings with 20 students in 1983, to 3500 graduates thus far. The ministry has grown to include church planting, farming, conferences, supporting local pastors, expanding their own facilities, plans for a trade school and much more. The International Evangelism Centre in Sakila, Tanzania is a unique work of God's grace in the heart of East Africa. Each year the Centre trains and sends approximately 200 pastors, teachers and evangelists into the seven nations of Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Zaire and Mozambique. To date, over 900 churches have been planted in these countries by graduates of the Centre.

CRU MINISTRIES

Ryan and Erin have a passion for teens and a heart for discipleship. Having invested 25+ years in the lives of teens throughout the U.S. and worldwide, they are currently serving with the High School ministry of Cru in Portland, OR where they are coaching and disciplining high school & middle school students as they launch gospel centered movements in public schools.

Ryan loves God, teenagers, and Disney! Top of his bucket list is to visit all 11 Disney Parks around the world and he’s more than halfway there. But it’s his love of God and teenagers that sets the trajectory for his life. He is passionate about students and their relationship with the Lord and has led hundreds of students on overseas mission trips, traveling to 30+ countries around the world. This has prepared him for his current ministry of walking onto campuses throughout the Portland metro area, partnering with local churches, to equip their students to launch gospel-centered movements.

Erin is the “behind the scenes” that makes everything work in the Fast household and ministry. Growing up in Portland she attended Lincoln HS. She recalls in her graduating class of 500+ that she only knew of a handful of Christians. Ministering alongside Ryan she now coordinates the details of their ministry, purchasing hundreds of pizzas annually for student-run clubs, facilitating small group discussions on campus and arranging travel logistics for Cru conferences and mission trips. Erin enjoys serving others by handling the logistics!

Ryan & Erin have been very happily married for 25+ years, live in NW Portland and are the proud parents of three kids - Micah, Abby and Zeke. They would like to invite you to partner with them in their ministry of training and equipping students. Currently they are praying for ministry partners who would consider making monthly or annual partnership commitments. Would you consider giving a monthly gift of $100, $250, $500 or some other amount that seems right to you?

"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6

PROJECT LIFE SUBIC

The Nabong's Biblical Community Development Ministry develops local leaders in the poor areas of Olongapo and in the Muslim area of Subic, empowering them to change their own communities. They do this through the process of identifying future leaders, mentoring them, and teaching them to multiply what they do!

From Project Life Subic:

Our Focus: We recognize that spirituality, health, job training and education are key factors in helping people make healthy changes in their own lives and in their neighborhoods.

We provide Bible studies, kids church/feeding, health, education/outreaches, and sewing training for unskilled workers. We also provide a high school diplomas program in cooperation with the Philippine Department of Education; sponsoring students to High School and College. Sharing the Gospel and disciplining new believers is a part of every weekly program.

STANDING STONE

After three generations of their family experiencing the pain and devastation of losing their pastors to burnout or infidelity, Jim and Debbie Hogan felt God’s call to create a ministry designed to strengthen and encourage ministry couples. As a result, Standing Stone was founded in 2002 in Chromo, Colorado at the Hogan’s log home on the Navajo River.

Now 20 years later, Standing Stone has a national reach with shepherds across the United States. Shepherds provide a full range of Biblical guidance to ministry leaders and their spouses through ongoing trusted relationships to navigate crises, help prevent them, and increase leaders’ health so their ministries flourish.

Dan Horst for over 19 years was New Life's Associate Pastor, and Mariposa Sheriff Department Chaplain, Maureen serving faithfully alongside him in ministry. Dan and Maureen are using their 33 years of Pastoring experience to care for ministry leaders through a wonderful ministry called Standing Stone! Shepherds Shepherding Shepherds.

A JESUS MISSION

From the Watts:

For the past 11.5 years, God has grown our ministry significantly. There are now many facets. Examples are as follows:

We fundraise for an anti-human trafficking organization working throughout South Asia.

We serve the local refugee community through a program called EDC, empowering those currently living in country and helping them get to a new country they can call home.

We raise money for a scholarship fund (called Isaiah 58) that helps South Asians pay for post-secondary studies abroad.

We partner with four native missionary men who have separate and distinct ministries.

We run a respite out of our home (called Jacob’s Well) and allow Christians and non-Christians to stay with us for varying lengths of time without any cost associated with their stay.

We lead teams from the U.S. and show them what God is doing here.

We provide guidance counseling to South Asian youth.

We are helping two native families to break the generational poverty that has haunted their families for generations.

A Jesus Mission was founded in 2017, when our first missionaries were sent into long-term service. As the organization grew, a clear pattern emerged: missionaries weren’t leaving the field because their calling ended — they were leaving because the systems supporting them weren’t sustainable.

That realization reshaped our focus. Today, AJM exists to provide personalized care, accountability, and practical support so missionaries can remain present in their calling for the long term. Everything we do is designed around protecting missionary health, reducing unnecessary burdens, and fostering stability over time.

MISSION RISE

From Kurt and Penny Tuffendsam:

Every week we serve families in multiple motels and shelters in the San Fernando Valley. Together, we meet one another’s physical, emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual needs. We proclaim and demonstrate the Good News of Jesus by meeting real needs and leading Discovery Bible Studies that retell the stories Jesus told. We are doing the things Jesus did, and experiencing the things Jesus experienced.
